POLYESTER
Most rigid of all plastic strapping materials. Elongates less than propylene and nylon, but higher initial tension can be applied. Retains greater tension over a period of time than nylon or polypropylene. Can be joined be heat, friction or mechanical sealing methods.
Elongation at working tension: 1 to 2

POLYPROPYLENE (Hand Grade and Machine Grade)
Most economical of all strapping materials. Offers the greatest elongation of all plastic strap- ping. Has good initial recovery characteristics. Can be heat-sealed with a joint efficiency of 70 to 80%. Best value for many plastic strapping applications.
Elongation at working tension: 5 to 9
